JOB INFORMATION:

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Los Angeles (Accelerated TAS) and we're looking to hire ELOP Support Staff who can assist students during the school day and after-school transition periods. You will be working with students in grades K–8.

You'll be actively supervising students, supporting case management for student-athletes during sports seasons, providing homework/tutoring support in the off season, and helping the site team with compliance and attendance accuracy.

You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check.

PAY:
Range: $19-$24

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview

JOB DUTIES:

  • Working with groups of students (without the support of a teacher or school site staff);
    Support student supervision across classrooms, hallways, dismissal/breezeway, field trips, practices, games (game days) and overflow areas;
  •  During sports seasons, support student-athlete case management (grade checks, to-do lists, tracking progress/eligibility);
  • During off season, provide homework/tutoring support (including i-Ready/MyPath) and help with campus sweeps to ensure students transition to the correct areas;
  •  Review compliance documents (registration forms, attendance, field trip forms, student contracts) for completeness and accurate signatures/ink requirements;
  • Cross-reference daily sign-in/sign-out sheets with electronic attendance and update daily attendance trackers;
  •  Assist with parent phone calls for student athlete recruitment and retention, as requested;
  •  When requested by manager, facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments;
  • Assist with transitions to after-school program (e.g., ARC/MPR) and end-of-practice dismissal flow;
  •  Help research/create a simple case management system to prep for upcoming seasons (to-do lists, grade reviews, reminders);
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to office/program operations (e.g., filing, data entry, document audits) to ensure smooth daily workflows;
  • Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts;
  • Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site.

WORKLOAD OUTLINE (APPROX. % OF TIME):

  1. Case Management & Goal Setting (35%)
  • Monitor student-athlete grades/progress and maintain simple to-do lists to support eligibility.
  • Support students in setting and working toward short- and long-term goals.
  • Facilitate baseline/summative assessments as requested by the manager.
     
  1. Administrative & Clerical Support (30%)
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth office/program operations.
  • Conduct compliance checks (registration forms, attendance sign-in/sign-out and electronic logs, student contracts, field trip slips) for completeness and correct signatures/ink requirements.
  • Update attendance trackers and maintain accurate compliance records.
  • Support document audits and basic data entry as needed.
     
  1. Parent & Community Engagement (35%)
  • Make parent phone calls for recruitment/retention and provide brief updates regarding attendance, practices, and events.
  • Follow up with students who miss sessions/practices to encourage continued participation.
  • Coordinate with teachers, coaches, and site staff to support the overall success of students.
     

SCHEDULE:

Monday–Friday. 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break; 8 paid hours/day).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s (AA) degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience working with K–8 students in a classroom, tutoring, or youth program setting.
    Strong understanding of tutoring practices, goal-setting (including SMART goals), and basic case management for students.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to multitask and keep multiple responsibilities on track.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks and clerical work, with the ability to support office operations smoothly.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Clear FBI-DOJ background check (facilitated through us).
  • Negative TB Test Result.
  • Strong attention to detail for compliance and attendance reconciliation Reliable communication with staff, coaches, parents, and students.
  • Additional duties may be required based on the District/Student need.
