About the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in Baltimore to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring English & Math Tutors to support students in grades K–5 during the school day. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.

Pay & Benefits

  • $22–$26 per hour, based on education and experience

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday availability required
     
  • Must be available between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements

  • Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
     
  • Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
     
  • Comfortable tutoring Elementary Math and English Language Arts (ELA)
     
  • Ability to manage small groups independently
     
  • Comfortable working in a classroom setting
     
  • Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)

Key Responsibilities

  • Tutor small groups of Elementary students without direct teacher supervision
     
  • Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
     
  • Create an engaging and welcoming learning environment
     
  • Support positive student behavior and participation
     
  • Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
     
  • Assist with student assessments when requested
     
  • Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
     
  • Clock in/out daily using Deputy
     
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
