Tutors - Inglewood, CA - Full Time

JOB INFORMATION:

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Los Angeles and we're looking to hire tutors who can assist High School students during school hours with their CAASPP readiness. You will be working with students of all ages between 9-12th grade.

You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.

You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check.

1) Pay
$19–$24/hr (based on experience and qualifications)

2) Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 8:30AM–3:00PM
  • 30 hours/week
  • Location: Inglewood, CA
  • Grade Levels: 9–12

Requirements

  • Education: AA degree or higher (or currently enrolled in college/university)
  • Spanish Bilingual Required (speak/read/write)
  • Experience: Prior tutoring/teaching experience preferred (high school experience a plus)
  • Skills: Comfortable leading small-group instruction in a classroom setting
  • Clearances: Ability to pass an FBI–DOJ background check
  • Subject Strength: Must have strong content knowledge in at least one of the areas below

  • Lead small-group tutoring sessions focused on CAASPP readiness and core academic skill-building
  • Use curriculum and materials provided by HeyTutor
  • Track and document student progress through HeyTutor’s platform
  • Create an engaging, structured environment that supports learning and confidence-building
    Help students stay on track academically and make positive behavior choices
