Position Overview: HeyTutor has partnered with school districts in Soledad and is looking for dedicated In-Person Tutors to assist students with English after school hours If you're passionate about making a difference in your community, pursuing a career in education, or seeking part-time, consistent hours, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Location: Multiple locations available for your convenience

Compensation:

  • Pay range: $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience (determined at the time of interview
  • Program Completion Bonus Opportunity:
    • ​​​​​​Qualified Tutors will be eligible for a $250 Completion Bonus, less applicable taxes and withholdings, which will be included in your final paycheck. Ask us for more details.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person tutoring support to students in English ranging from k-6th grade
  • Actively engage with students to address learning gaps and reinforce key concepts
  • Supervise and mentor students to foster a positive learning environment
     

Requirements:

  • Previous tutoring experience with a strong aptitude for working with children
  • Proficiency in English and Math instruction for elementary and middle school levels
  • Minimum education Some college; however, candidates with an Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree are preferred
  • Comfortable working in a classroom setting and collaborating with school staff
  • Ability to pass an in-person background check (FBI-DOJ) and provide a negative TB screening
 

Schedule:

  • Monday/Tuesday/ Thursday/Friday 2pm-6pm
  • Wednesday 1pm-6pm
